Among Us runs on the Unity game engine and is developed by Innersloth. Initially, it was released as a mobile game for Android and iOS operating systems.

Among Us : Plot
The game’s main plot comprises a set of cartoon astronaut crew, situated in fictional-scientific places in outer space like a spaceship, planet base, above the earth base, and a spaceship inspired by Henry Stickmen gameplay. There are cheaters or imposters among the crew. Now we know why this game is called “Among Us”. These bad guys are up to 3 in number, taking control of the entire location and planting a hazardous event to kill the remaining crew. The members have to report, observe, take the decision and prevent this-no matter what! All of this just by completing the allotted tasks in the form of mini-puzzles and voting out the imposter during the emergency meetings.
Among Us : Gameplay
You can play as either a crew member or an imposter, chosen randomly.
If you’re an imposter, you win by eliminating all the crew members or taking control of the entire map.
As a crew member, you win by finding and eliminating all the imposters or completing tasks to avoid disasters.
The tasks that need to be finished with winning are the technical ones, related to downloading data and fixation of a few system components.
Once a player dies, it becomes a ghost. The ghost exists on the crew side and of the imposters as well. Ghosts can’t communicate with live players but can move through walls, watch live players, shapeshift, or communicate with other spirits. Ghosts assist live players in the completion of tasks for winning the game.
Since November 2021, several types of semi-NPC- Semi-‘Non Playing Characters’ have been added to make the gameplay more enjoyable. These semi-NPC roles require minimal tasks, generating the minor roles of Guardian angels, Engineers, and Scientists.

The Gameplay trailer of Among Us VR starts with a first-person perspective to showcase the gaming experience. The trailer tries to portray ‘You’ as the trailer advances to a group meeting. All the crew members are named by their colors, such as pink, purple, green, and yellow. The group meeting witnesses all the crew members chit-chatting about something until they start to move abruptly as pink and purple are killed. The focus shifts from a third-person narrative to the first-person for yellow. The end makes you see the crew members or imposters talking, and finally, the yellow gets killed, leaving many questions unanswered.
